Ralf Pasel (Architect & Cofounder of pasel.kunzel) Ralf Pasel (Germany, 1970) is principal architect of pasel.künzel architects. Ralf Pasel is presently Visiting Professor and at the Academy of Architecture and Urban Design Rotterdam. He taught at the Technical University in Delft, the Netherlands before and was Visiting Professor at the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Chile and at the Universidad Central at Santiago de Chile in 2004. Since 2004 he works with Frederik Künzel as pasel.künzel architects. The office won a lot of prizes and was awarded many times for their work, amongst others for the prestigious International Bauhaus Award 2008. Ralf Pasel studied Architecture at the Ecole d’ Architecture de Paris, France, The Univeristy of Liverpool, England and at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany where he graduated in 1998 with ‘Honors Cum Laude’. Between 1999 and 2004 he worked as Project Architect in charge at KCAP (Kees Christiaanse Architects & Planners) on two large-scale housing developments in Venlo and Rotterdam, the Netherlands and an office building in Haarlem. Franziska Sack (Architect / pasel.kunzel) Franziska Sack (Germany, 1978) works as a project architect for pasel.künzel architects and teaches at the Academy of Architecture and Urban Design Rotterdam. Franziska Sack has studied at the Bauhaus University Weimar and the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio. During her studies she worked on housing projects in the developing world. In 2004 she participated in the architects initiative Elemental at the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Chile which she joined as a student winner of the international competition. |

Aloysius N. Bongwa (Senior Expert, Urban Finance IHS) Aloysius Bongwa has sixteen years of experience in the fields of Urban Management and Architecture and Environmental Design. He has worked on a variety of World Bank sponsored municipal income generating projects in Africa and with international agencies like USAID, MRI-Budapest; EU PHARE – The Baltic Sea region) on a wide range of projects in Central Eastern Europe. Mr. Bongwa has a solid international experience having worked in more than two dozen countries in the developing world and Central and Eastern Europe. |

Ellen Geurts (Expert, Housing IHS) Ellen Geurts (MSc Technology and Society, Technical University in Eindhoven 2003, and MSc in Housing, WITS University Johannesburg, South Africa 2005) is a housing specialist who has worked as consultant and researcher since 2005. She has joined IHS in 2007 to continue with project activities as a junior expert. Before joining IHS, Ellen worked for a consultant firm on several advisory projects in Central and Eastern Europe with a focus on management of multi-family and high-rise housing and energy efficiency measures. |

Professor George W.K. Intsiful (KNUST) Professor George W.K. Intsiful is architect and lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana and is a member of the Ghana Institute of Architects. He has taught various courses in architecture in various universities in Ghana, Liberia, USA and Zimbabwe since 1979. Prof. Intsiful has published over ten papers in reputable journals in the USA, Switzerland, Ghana, the U.K. He was the initiator of the conference "African Architecture Today" (5-8 June 2007 in Kumasi) and is one of the partners in the development of the digital search engine "Searching African Architecture". |
